Toolkit for organising “Routes through Education” events in schools

Research has shown that engaging parents with their child’s education helps children to achieve their ambitions.

There is a general lack of understanding among young people and their families about the various routes through education – for example which subjects and courses to take post-16 and post-18 – and how to get into the careers they want.

Everything your school will need to organise an event to provide information for students and their parents on educational routes is provided here.

The toolkit comprises:

  • Advice and guidance for organising “Routes through Education” events.
  • A sample letter to use as a template for inviting potential exhibitors to your event. You should alter the text to suit your school and the local community.
  • Sample information for exhibitors. You should alter the details to suit the arrangements for your event.
