The Teachers of Physics Awards celebrate the success of secondary school physics teachers who have raised the profile of physics and science in schools.
If you know a teacher whose contribution to physics should be recognised with an award, help us celebrate excellence in physics teaching by nominating an exceptional teacher - including yourself.
Who we’re looking for:
For the IOP 2022 Teachers of Physics Awards, we’re looking to celebrate individuals who demonstrate:
- Teaching excellence
- Staff development within the school or within a group of schools
- Work beyond the classroom
- Work with the wider educational community
- Inclusion
We would also like to highlight our education awards which recognise outstanding contributions to physics education by teachers, technicians, researchers and leaders.
- Gold Medal – Lawrence Bragg Medal and Prize
- Silver Medal – Marie Curie-Sklodowska Medal and Prize
- Bronze Early Career Medal – Daphne Jackson Medal and prize
- Technician Award – winners in the secondary school category will receive an additional £1,000 prize for their school or department
- Honorary Fellowship
