Submit your nomination for the 2022 IOP Teachers of Physics Award

The IOP Awards proudly reflect the full breadth of excellence that makes physics such an exciting discipline.

The Teachers of Physics Awards celebrate the success of secondary school physics teachers who have raised the profile of physics and science in schools.

If you know a teacher whose contribution to physics should be recognised with an award, help us celebrate excellence in physics teaching by nominating an exceptional teacher - including yourself.

Who we’re looking for:

For the IOP 2022 Teachers of Physics Awards, we’re looking to celebrate individuals who demonstrate:

  • Teaching excellence
  • Staff development within the school or within a group of schools
  • Work beyond the classroom
  • Work with the wider educational community
  • Inclusion

We would also like to highlight our education awards which recognise outstanding contributions to physics education by teachers, technicians, researchers and leaders.

Whether you are nominating someone else, or nominating yourself, let’s share the brilliance of the physics teaching community.

All awards nominations close at midday on Monday 14 February 2022.
