SciCast Physics was a mini-science-movie-making competition. Teams of all ages were challenged to produce films of less than two and a half minutes that explained a principle of physics in an entertaining way to non-scientists.
While the competition is no longer running, all the films submitted are available to view on the website, making up a valuable classroom resource.
The site also contains information on film making techniques, advice on what equipment to invest in and a clear explanation of licensing issues – vital if you’re thinking of producing anything using words, music or images that are not your own.
- Physics Activity Pack for STEM clubs
The Institute produces an activity pack containing physics-based ideas, resources and activities for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) clubs.
- Thinking on your feet: Football and physics
This new resource from the education team has been developed in collaboration with Arsenal Football Club and explores 8 physics activities linked to the beautiful game.
