Careers in physics webinars for students aged 12-14
During National Careers Week in March 2021, we ran a series of webinars for students aged 12 – 14 showcasing careers in physics and exploring the opportunities that studying physics can unlock.
The speakers came from all over the world of physics, including:
- Research and industry
- Well-known organisations
- Innovative start-ups
They talked about the diverse routes into these careers, including technical and vocational pathways, and the exciting possibilities that an apprenticeship could bring.
Themed around the role of physics and physicists in addressing global challenge, the sessions were:
- Climate Change
- Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
- Physics in Medicine
These events were part of Limit Less, the campaign from the Institute of Physics to support young people to change the world and fulfil their potential by doing physics.
