Do Try This at Home

If you're looking for fun activities for your students to do, our Do Try This at Home series may be just that: a video series for parents and carers to get their children excited about physics, with short demonstrations and simple, step-by-step instructions.

But fun doesn’t mean that the activities can’t be educational. Episode 4 - Reversing Arrow features an optical illusion that supports learning about ray diagrams and the images formed by a lens. While Episode 7 – Rocket balloon is great for learning about forces and a perfect introduction to Newton’s third law. Other topics covered include charge, convection, total internal reflection and the scale of the solar system.
